Some Pre-Christmas Skiing

I took the 2nd week of December off of work to do some renos on my house and then set off into the hills for 5 days of skiing. Had everything from avy debris, thick wind/rain crusts and beautiful powder in some late afternoon sunshine. Shames Mtn opened on the 16th for one of my best days skiing at that hill ever. There was such a fun attitude and the conditions couldn't have been any better.

Dec 19 - Some unexpected snowfall up Middle Creek had me worried I wouldn't be able to get my car out of the mountains. Looks like about 20-30cms of snow fell. Driving my sled through such deep snow made for some adventure and I was able to get it a few km up the road before getting it stuck and leaving it.

Dec 17 - Two sucky valley bottom Deliverance Laps led to a late afternoon lap on the Fay-zurs which was pretty amazing with the sunshine and dry snow. A great way to end a short day in the hills.
